Disneyland: Where Dreams Come True February 2007

Night 1

We arrived at our hotel around midnight. We stayed at the Sheraton, which is around the corner from disneyland. It was a very nice hotel with great service. Heidi and I both received our own queen size bed. Soooo comfortable.

The only downside was that the soda machine was a rip-off. It cost us $1.25 for this little bottle of water. Travelers tip: Bring your own water, snacks. It's expensive in the park. And it you are a pepsi drinker. Good luck trying to find one.

Day 1
Disneyland

We woke up around 9:00 am. Got ready by 10:00 and went downstairs to find some breakfast, since neither one of us had really eaten anything the night before. We stoped at the Bistro in the hotel, which is very nice. They have a breakfast buffet which is $12.95 per person. Not to bad, if you planning to eat like a cow, but we didn't.

The hotel had a shuttle to and from disneyland every thirty minutes. So we waited for the next shuttle and arrived in disneyland around 11ish.

The first thing we did was go to a few gift shops and then we got the fast pass to the Indiana Jones Ride since the stand-by wait was 55 minutes long. Our fast pass told us to return at 2:30pm. So we got in line for the jungle cruise.

"You probably don't see this everyday, but I DO.....everyday."

After that we went got onto the Mark Twain ship.

Pretty boring so far so we decided to liven our day up. We ended up at Priates of the Carribean, which I think has become my all time favorite ride.

Jack is hiding in three places in this ride. Can you find him?

There were suppose to be no flash pictures. Shhh!!! Don't tell.

By that time we had about 15 minutes until 2:30 so we headed over there and waited a little bit until they would take our fast pass. We went through a long tunnel and waited about 5-10 minutes until we got onto the ride.

I tried taking pictures in the ride. It didn't work out too well.

My stomach was hurting really bad around this time so we decided to go back to the hotel to rest and have a little lunch. While waiting for our shuttle we went across to the street to a little "minni" mart and stocked up on water, PEPSI and chips.

Around 7:00 pm we headed back to disney and went on Star Tours, which is one of my favortie rides and since Heidi did not want to go on Space Mountain.

We also saw. Honey, I shrunk the audience

We were pretty disappointed that we didn't see any characters that day so we went to Toontown to see if we would spot Mickey. Toontown was closed. :( So we took some pictures with Dorie instead.

So we headed back to ride Astro blasters. Very neat ride for little kids.

We got out just in time to hit a gift shop, where I bought this ball that lights up when it bounces on the ground. When I went up to the counter the lady asked, "Oh, are you buying this as a gift or for yourself?" and I said sheepishly, "I'm buying it for my dogs." Haha. Heidi bought some more tinkerbell pins.

By that time the fireworks had already started. That last about 20 minutes. Heidi and I grabbed some fries and heading back to the hotel, where we watched the L word on snowtime until 1ish.

Day 2
California Adventure

We woke up around the same time as yesterday, but didn't grab breakfast today. We arrived at CA adventure around 10ish.

We wandered into the hollywood backlots and ended up at the animation building and went to see Turtle Talk with crush, where we learning how to talk turle, "totally sweet, dudes, cha" and whale "heeeeeeellllllllwwwwooooo". Crush interacted with the kids. It was a very entertaining show.

When we got out we saw that there was a line outside for pictures with Cinderella.

As we headed outside we spoted Goofy, Donald, and Snow White.

We got some lunch at the best wiener booth. I was feeling better so I had a chilli fries.

Around 1pm we got into line to watch the Aladdin musical. I have no pictures, but I would have to say that it was the HIGHTLIGHT of our trip. It was 45 minutes long and SUPER funny. The genie was HILARIOUS. He had be crying laughing at one point.

"Omg, I'm bald. Do I look as good as britney spears."
"Ali has more friend than you or myspace."
"If you change your name to Pepper, you'll be sutan pepper shaker."

Afterwards, we walked around some more.

The ride we were too chicken to go on. Plus the wait was like 110 minutes. Crazy!

It turns out that I really like brother bear.

We ended up at a a bug's life

....and we went to see the show, which many kids left crying because it was too scary. There was one part during the show when the evil grasshopper guys came out and said he was going to exterminate all humans because we are constantly trying to kill them. The room filled with smoke and spiders started falling from the cieling and we got stung by a wasp (literally). At the end of the show the seat moved like there were creepy crawlies under us.

It was nearly 5:30 so we went back to the hotel to get ready for our dinner with our co-worker Cathy.

Day 3
Disneyland again.

Our goal today was go character hunting, especially JACK SPARROW.

We saw a few once we entered the park, but their handlers said they would be leaving soon, so we didn't get a picture.

We went over to find Mr. Jack Sparrow and found him, but he was not taking anymore pictures. His handler said hew ould be back in 30 minutes, but we were going to be late for our reservations at the blue bayou.

When we came out we looked for him again, but could not find him. We saw this guys instead.

The sign says. "$ for CHILDS. Leave your CHILDS with me and get 10% in their take in the CHILD auction!"

After Jack didn't show up for about fifteen minutes we got in line for the haunted mansion ride. When we got out we found him again, but his handler told us he wasn't taking anymore pictures and told us to come back in 30 minutes.

We decided we would come back and walked over to toontown to get pictures with Mickey. We ended up at critter country.

Finally, Toontown.

Minnie's House

Mickey's House

....and finally MICKEY! (after like a 45 minute wait and standing in front of an annoying child with sticky fingers who kept cutting in line)

We escaped from toon town in time to see the parade. And then we went to Princess Fantasy Fair to get some more pictures with the princesses.

Sadly we missed Jasmine and Mulan.

...and then FINALLY, Jack Sparrow! After the fifth time that day.

...and they lived HAPPYILY EVER AFTER.

THE END.
